ALMOND SQUARES 
2 eggs, room temp.
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted, cooled butter
1 c. cake flour
1 tsp. almond extract

1. Grease a 9"x9" pan.

2. Beat 2 eggs well, gradually add sugar and continue beating.

3. Add melted, cooled butter, blending well.

4. Add cake flour and flavoring.

5. Pour into pan, sprinkle with 1/4 cup slivered almonds and 1/4 cup sugar.

6. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Cut into 20 squares.
