BRISKET WITH BEER I 
4-5 lb. brisket
1 med. onion, sliced
2 c. barbecue sauce
1 (10 oz.) can of beer
1 Brown-n-Bake bag
Salt & Pepper to taste
4 med. potatoes, quartered
4-6 carrots, cut into large pieces

Place brisket which has been seasoned with salt and pepper in a Brown-n-Bake bag. Place sliced onion on top and under roast. On sides of roast in the bag, lay quartered potatoes and carrots which have been cut into large pieces. Add barbecue sauce and beer, reserving last swallow for yourself. Tie bag; punch holes in top and place in baking pan. Cook in 350 degree oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Remove from bag and assemble on platter. After skimming fat, use gravy to pour over roast.
