LO MEIN (SHRIMP OR CHICKEN) 
1/2 light fine egg noodles
1 stick butter
1 c. water
1 pkg. onion soup mix
Shrimp or chicken
1 can chicken broth (13 3/4 oz.)
1/2 c. raw minute rice
1 pkg. Chinese pea pods
1 c. water chestnuts

Melt butter and fry raw noodles until brown. Keep tossing. Add water, dry soup mix, rice, broth, pea pods, water chestnuts and whatever meat you're using - shrimp, chicken - even beef or pork if you'd like. Cook 10 minutes. Put entire mixture into a casserole or baking pan. Cover and bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with Chinese noodles.
