CHINESE CABBAGE 
2 lbs. Chinese cabbage
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/3 c. oil
1/2 tsp. hot dry red pepper
1 tsp. sugar

Prepare all measurements and have ready. Slice cabbage fairly fine and even. Heat oil and put in salt. When salt begins to brown, put in hot pepper, then cabbage - turning constantly until cabbage is tender cooked - very short time - put in vinegar, sugar, stir and remove from heat. Serve immediately.
