CALIFORNIA TAMALE PIE 
3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 pkg. chili seasoning
1 can Zesty tomato sauce (Campbell's)
1 can whole kernel corn (1 pkg. frozen)
1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated

Mix cornmeal, milk and egg in a 2 1/2 quart casserole. Brown meat in skillet until crumbly. Add chili seasoning, tomatoes and corn. Stir into cornmeal mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, until brown. Put cheese over top and let it melt for about 5 minutes. Serves 6-8.
