BUTTERNUT POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
1 c. butter
6 eggs
3 c. plain flour
3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butternut flavoring

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour. Beat well and add flavoring. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees or until done.

FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
4 tbsp. milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. butternut flavoring

Cook all ingredients in top of double boiler until thick enough to spread. Do not beat. Frost top and sides of cake.
