COCOA SAUERKRAUT CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped, drained and rinsed sauerkraut
1 1/3 c. water

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Add vanilla. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add alternately with 1 1/3 cups water. Fold in sauerkraut.

Bake in greased 9x13 inch pan 35-45 minutes at 325 degrees.

Frost with Sour Cream Frosting.

SOUR CREAM FROSTING:

1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. powdered sugar

Melt together chips and butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, vanilla and enough powdered sugar to spread well.
