FROSTING THAT NEVER HARDENS | |
2 1/2 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. milk 1/2 c. Crisco 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. confectioners' sugar 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional) Blend milk and flour together and cook until thick paste. Cool to lukewarm. Meanwhile, cream shortening with granulated sugar and salt. Mix at high speed. Add lukewarm paste. Beat until fluffy; add vanilla and nuts at low speed. Then add 1 cup powdered sugar and mix again. |
