MOM'S HURRY-UP CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (2 lb.) bag frozen French fries
1 sm. pkg. frozen peas (can use canned, if desired)
2 cans cream of chicken soup
3/4 c. water
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 to 1 c. shredded American or Cheddar cheese

Saute beef and onion until browned. Drain grease. Combine soup with water. Place French fries, peas and meat mixture in large casserole. Pour soup and water mixture over all. Add salt and pepper and mix all together lightly. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Remove from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheese over casserole. Put back in oven for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted.
