BLACKBERRY CAKE 
2 c. blackberries & juice
2 eggs
2 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. self-rising flour

Mix all ingredients together and pour into 3 greased 9 inch round pans.

FROSTING FOR BLACKBERRY CAKE:

1 lg. can evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
2 c. brown sugar

Mix all ingredients together. Cook over low heat until soft ball stage. Spread on cake layers and sides.
