ITALIAN SESAME SEED COOKIES 
4 c. sifted flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. anise extract
1 c. butter
3-4 eggs (med. or sm. 4, lg 3)

Cream sugar, butter and anise. Add eggs; mix well. Add flour, baking powder and soda. Dough will be stiff and you will have to knead it by hand until all mixed. Roll into 48 little balls. Dip balls in small bowl of milk then roll balls in small bowl with sesame seed, one at a time. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
