Walnut Dream Cake

Delighted to find this old recipe from an Argo magazine ad. Have made it for years, and lost the recipe. The filling requires a few tsp of sugar though. I make it at least twice a year for my daughter's birthday (her favorite cake...and she is a chocoholic, so that tells you how great this recipe is...) and any other excuse I can find to make it.
It's a rich, moist, flavorful cake. You can make it with pecans, or leave out the nuts entirely. I garnish the whip cream with whole walnuts. Very festive.
