BUTTERNUT CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
1 c. self-rising flour
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tbsp. butternut flavoring

Cream Crisco and sugar; add eggs and flavoring. Alternate milk and flour, mixing well with mixer. Bake in 3 (8" or 9") pans, lightly greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1 tbsp. butternut flavoring
1 box powdered sugar
11 or 12 oz. pkg. cream cheese
Pecans or walnuts (opt.)

Mix well and frost between layers and on top of cake. This is called Robbie's cake in the family as it is his favorite!
