ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD | |
3 c. flour 1 envelope or pkg. yeast 1/2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. baking soda 1 c. milk 1/4 c. water Cornmeal for baking pan Combine 1/2 flour and all dry ingredients. Heat liquid to very warm and add to dry ingredients. Stir in the remaining flour to make a stiff batter. Grease a loaf pan well and sprinkle with cornmeal. Pour batter in pan. Cover and let rise for 45 minutes in a warm place. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. |
