ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. water
2 pkg. dry yeast
2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1/2 c. corn meal

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda. Heat liquid until very warm (120 to 130 degrees). Add to dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in enough flour to make a stiff dough. Spoon into 2 greased loaf pans. Sprinkle with corn meal. Cover and let rise 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from pan immediately and cool.
