MEAGAN'S GERMAN POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
3 1/2 c. cake flour
1 c. milk
6 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp. double acting baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. salt

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 10" bundt pan or 2 (9"x5") loaf pans.

2. In large bowl with mixer at high speed, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy.

3. Add flour and rest of ingredients at low speed, beat until well mixed, always scraping bowl sides with rubber spatula then beat at high speed 4 minutes, occasionally scraping bowl.

4. Pour batter into bundt pan and bake 1 hour, or, if using loaf pans, 45 to 50 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out dry and clean. Cool cake in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; remove from pan; cool completely on rack.
