BUTTERMILK GINGERBREAD | |
1 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/2 c. butter or shortening 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. buttermilk 3/4 c. molasses Mix flour, sugar, salt, soda and spices together, beat butter until smooth. Add egg, beat, add buttermilk and molasses. Add dry ingredients to this. Pour into 9 x 13 inch greased, floured pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. |
