VEGETABLES AU GRATIN 
1 c. white sauce
4 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
4 c. hot cooked vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, potatoes)
1 c. fine bread crumbs
1 tbsp. melted butter

Blend white sauce and cheese. Combine with vegetables. Pour into 1 quart casserole. Toss crumbs with butter, sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until browned.

WHITE SAUCE:

2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk

Melt butter over low heat, blend in flour and salt, add milk. Cook quickly, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly. Stir in cheese.
