TOMATO SOUP-SPICE LOAF | |
1 2/3 c. flour, unsifted 1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/3 tsp. mixed spices (cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger or cardamom) 3/4 c. brown sugar, lightly packed 1/2 c. raisins 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 2 tbsp. milk Sift the flour, soda, powder and spices together. Add the sugar, raisins, and nuts; then stir in a mixture of soup and oil. Mix thoroughly and pour into greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. |
