HOT FRENCH CHEESE SANDWICHES 
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1/8 -1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 - 1/4 tsp. onion powder
16 slices white or rye bread
Paprika

Combine first 5 ingredients; beat at medium speed of electric mixer until smooth. Spread about 1 tablespoon cheese mixture on each of 8 slices of bread. Top with remaining bread slices and spread remaining cheese mixture on top of the sandwiches. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Yield: 8 servings.

Sandwiches may be frozen. Place on cookie sheet until frozen and then put in ziplock bags. Thaw sandwiches just before baking. Delicious served with soups.
