GRANDMA'S AND GRANDPA'S | |
2 lbs. lean short ribs 1 chopped onion Soy sauce, enough to give beefy color 4 c. flour Water Boil short ribs in a large pot and cook until tender. Remove from stove. Allow short ribs to cool. (Save water short ribs were cooked in.) After meat has cooled, remove meat from the bones and place the meat back into the pot with the water. Add onion and soy sauce and cook until boiling point and add noodles. NOODLES: Mix 4 cups of flour with water. Add enough water to the mixture so that the dough is not sticky. Roll out with a rolling pin and cut the dough into 1-inch squares. Add the noodles to the boiling mixture. Cook covered until noodles are cooked thoroughly. Add salt and pepper, if desired. |
