BROCCOLI MUSHROOM SCALLOP
(MICROWAVE)
 
1 1/2 lbs. broccoli, cut in 2 inch pieces or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut broccoli
1/4 c. water
1 c. sliced mushrooms
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Place broccoli and water in 2 quart casserole. Cover and microwave 10-12 minutes. Drain. Put mushrooms and butter in bowl. Microwave until melted and tender, 2 1/2 to 4 minutes. Stir once. Stir in flour, onion powder, salt and pepper. Blend in milk. Microwave until tender, 5 to 8 minutes. Stir every minute. Pour sauce over broccoli. Sprinkle with cheese. Microwave until heated and cheese melts, 3 to 8 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
