WORLD'S BEST CHOCOLATE PIE | |
3 heaping tbsp. flour 1/4 c. cocoa 1 c. sugar 2 c. milk 3 egg yolks 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. butter MERINGUE: 3 egg whites 6 tbsp. sugar Stir together flour, cocoa and sugar. Preheat 2 cups milk in saucepan (in microwave cook on HIGH 2 minutes). Stir in dry ingredients and return to heat (about 4 - 6 minutes in microwave, stirring 2 times). As mixture begins to thicken mix in slowly egg yolks and stir well. Return to heat until thickening occurs. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla and 2 tablespoons butter. Pour in unbaked pie crust. Beat egg whites on high; gradually add sugar until peaks are formed. Cook meringue on pie in 350 degree oven about 10 minutes. |
