CARAMEL APPLE WALNUT SQUARES 
1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
1 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cold butter
1 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, combine flour, oats, sugar, baking soda, and salt; cut in butter until crumble. Reserving 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture, press remaining on bottom of 13x9 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes. Add walnuts to reserving crumb mixture. Set aside.

CARAMEL SAUCE:

1 can Eagle Brand milk
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup

Melt butter, brown sugar, and syrup. Add Eagle Brand milk. Bring to a bubbly boil. Remove from heat. Spoon 2 cans apple pie filling over crumb crust evenly. Pour caramel sauce over apple filling. Top with rest of crumb mixture that was reserved. Bake 375 degrees for 20 minutes longer or until set. Serve warm with ice cream.
