BACON WRAPPED WATER CHESTNUTS 
1 can whole water chestnuts
1/2 lb. bacon
2 c. vegetable oil

Heat vegetable oil to 400 degrees. Cut bacon strip in half. Wrap 1/2 strip bacon around 1 whole water chestnut. Secure with a toothpick. Drop bacon wrapped water chestnuts into hot oil. Cook until bacon is done, about 3 to 5 minutes. Serve hot with Chinese mustard.
