1 (27 oz.) can sauerkraut, rinse thoroughly in cold water and squeeze excess water out 1 lb. egg noodles (med.), cook and drain Over low heat, 1/4 pound butter, pinch of oil, and 1 onion chopped up. Cook over low heat. Add drained, rinsed sauerkraut. Cook 10-15 minutes. Cook slow. Add another 1/4 pound butter. Add noodles; mix thoroughly. Add 1/2 pound butter so its not dry. Salt and pepper to taste. Good with Kubasa, hot dogs, pork, hot Italian sausage. |
