DILLY CASSEROLE BREAD | |
1 pkg. yeast in 1/4 c. warm water 1 c. cottage cheese 1 tbsp. minced onion 2 tsp. dill seed 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 egg 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. butter 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour Soften yeast in warm water. Combine cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm, onion, dill seed, salt, soda, egg, sugar, butter, yeast mixture, and flour. It forms a stiff dough. Cover and let rise until double, 50 to 60 minutes. Punch down. Put in 8-inch casserole. Let rise until light, 30 to 40 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Remove from casserole. Brush with butter. Sprinkle with onion or garlic salt. May double recipe. |
