2 c. sifted cake flour
1 c.sugar
4 tbsp cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. cold water
1 c. salad dressing (mayonnaise)
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix the water and salad dressing. Stir in dry ingredients, adding vanilla. Pour into two 8 inch cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Test with a toothpick.

This cake recipe is one that our children ordered made on special occasions, such as birthdays, etc. For one who really enjoys chocolate, a chocolate icing can't be beaten! Enjoy!
