OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING 
3 c. soft bread (use 4 cups for firmer pudding)
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
1/2 c. seedless raisins

Set oven at 350 degrees. Place bread crumbs in 1 1/2 quart uncovered baking dish. Blend in remaining ingredients and mix together. Place baking dish in pan of hot water about 1 inch deep. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until silver knife inserted in the edge comes out clean. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
