PAT'S SECRET BARBECUE SAUCE | |
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1/2 c. cider vinegar 1/3 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. unsweetened pineapple juice 2 tbsp. prepared mustard 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/2 tsp. dried onion 1 tsp. Cajun seasoning 1 tsp. bottled hot sauce or to taste 1 med. bay leaf In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients, except hot sauce and bay leaf. Bring to a slow boil, stirring constantly. Lower heat; add bay leaf and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring to prevent scorching. Add hot sauce at last minute to taste. Delicious with any barbecue meat. |
