PEACH ICE CREAM (HOMEMADE) | |
4 c. ripe peaches, peeled & finely chopped 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. water Food coloring (red & yellow) 2 cans sweetened condensed milk 2 c. whipping cream 1 c. sugar (or less) 1 qt. milk (2% is satisfactory) Make mash of fruit, 1/4 cup sugar and water. Add 2 drops each of food coloring. Drain, reserve liquid. Add peach liquid with water, enough to make 1 3/4 cups (approximate) liquid. Combine peach mash with condensed milk, cream and sugar. Put all ingredients in ice cream freezer can. Add enough dairy milk to make approximately 3 quarts ice cream (i.e. less than 1 quart milk). Mix and freeze according to manufacturer's directions, approximately 45 minutes. |
