CHEESY BEEF STUFFED PEPPERS | |
3 lg. green peppers, cut in 1/2 lengthwise 1 lb. ground beef 1 c. creamed cottage cheese 1 c. (8 oz.) tomato sauce 1 sm. onion, finely chopped 1 egg 1/3 c. bread crumbs 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. salt 1 c. shredded process American cheese Place peppers in 2 quart glass baking dish; set aside. Combine remaining ingredients except shredded cheese, in medium mixing bowl; mix well. Spoon meat mixture into green pepper halves. Cover with wax paper. Microwave for 24 to 26 minutes, on roast or until meat is well done (about 140 degrees). Top with shredded cheese and continue cooking on roast until cheese is melted. |
