TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. water
1/2 c. sour cream or buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 sticks butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

Mix the first 4 ingredients in a bowl, then add sour cream or buttermilk and beaten eggs. In saucepan, mix water, cocoa and butter. Bring to a boil, then pour into first mixture. Mix good. Bake 18 minutes - NO LONGER.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. pecans, crushed

In saucepan, mix first 3 ingredients, then add the last 3 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Spread over warm cake.
