ITALIAN MEAT LOAF | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1/2 c. cracker or bread crumbs 1 egg 1/2 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 16 oz. can tomato sauce 2 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded Mix first six ingredients together with 1/3 can of the tomato sauce. Place on wax paper. Roll or pat out to 10 x 12 inch. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Roll like jelly roll. Press ends to seal. Bake in shallow baking dish for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Pour remaining tomato sauce over meat loaf and bake another 15 minutes at 350 to 375 degrees. |
