Wash the outside of 4 ears of corn in the shucks and trim the tasseled end off each ear. Place the ears of corn and paper towel or microwave platter and put them in a microwave oven.

Set timer for 7 minutes. Note: Microwave ovens vary, as do the sizes of ears of corn. You will probably want to adjust cooking time to suit your taste. Remove shucks, salt and butter to taste.
