1 c. shortening or butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. M&M'S® plain chocolate candies

Blend shortening and sugars. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift remaining dry ingredients together, add to the sugar and egg mixture. Stir in 1/2 cup M&M'S®. Reserve the rest for decorating. Drop from teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
