APPLE DAPPLE CAKE 
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. salad oil
2 c. sugar
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda (baking)
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. chopped apples
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Topping

Mix eggs, salad oil, and sugar and blend well. Sift flour, salt, and soda; add to egg mixture. Add vanilla, chopped apples, and nuts. Pour into a greased 8 or 9 inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. While cake is still hot, pour hot topping over it in the pan and let cool. When completely cool, remove from pan.

Makes one 8 or 9 inch tube cake.

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 stick butter

Combine all ingredients and cook 2 1/2 minutes. Pour immediately over cake in pan.
