1 c. cornmeal 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 1 1/2 c. boiling water Mixture will be thick. Use a well-greased pan. If possible, use an electric griddle or fry pan set at 380 degrees. Drop by scant 1/4 cupfuls. DO NOT TOUCH OR TURN OVER FOR 6 MINUTES. Then, turn over and leave for 5 minutes. Makes 8-10. Serve with butter and maple syrup or strawberry jam. |
