PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
3/4 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 sm. can pineapple slices
4 maraschino cherries
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1 box (1 layer) cake mix

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in bottom of 8x8x2 inch pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange pineapple slices over the sugar. Place cherries in the center of the rings then sprinkle with nuts.

Prepare cake mix according to directions. Pour batter over fruit. Bake 40-50 minutes, turn out on plate while still hot. Suggest whipped cream topping.
