LASAGNA | |
8 oz. lasagna noodles 1 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce 4 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Stir in seasonings and tomato sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add lasagna noodles to 4 quarts of boiling water. Add 2 teaspoons salt. Gently stir and separate for 12 to 15 minutes. Drain and chill in cold water for 5 minutes; drain. Arrange one layer of lasagna in parallel strips in bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Top with 1/3 the meat mixture and 1/3 of the cheese. Repeat layers ending with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees in oven for 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serves 8. |
