1/2 c. molasses 1/4 c. light brown sugar 1/2 c. butter 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. toasted wheat germ 1 tbsp. brewers' yeast 1 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda Heat molasses to the boiling point, add sugar and butter. Mix all dry ingredients together. Stir into molasses mixture. Drop by teaspoonsful on cookie sheet 1/2 inch apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, until firm. Yield: 4 dozen. Approximate calories: 50 per cookie. |
