GREAT NEW WAY TO BAKE A TURKEY 
1 (14 to 18 lb.) turkey
salt and pepper
6 c. water

Salt and pepper inside and out. Place in a roaster or turkey pan with water. Tightly cover with lid or heavy-duty foil.

Bake in 500°F preheated oven for 1 hour. Turn off oven and DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR FOR 12 HOURS.

It does work and your turkey will be moist and tender. You will have lots of good juices for the dressing and gravy. For a 20 to 22 pound turkey, cook 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Note: Tastes great, but doesn't get real brown. Good for hot turkey sandwiches.
