OKRA WITH CORN AND TOMATOES 
1 c. minced green pepper
1/2 c. minced green onion
1/4 c. butter
1 c. corn
1 c. sliced okra
3 tomatoes, peeled, seeded & chopped
1 tsp. tomato paste
1/4 tsp. thyme
Salt & pepper to taste
Generous pinch of sugar

Saute green pepper and onion until soft but not brown. Add okra and corn and cook over moderate heat, stirring, for 10 minutes. Add rest of ingredients, cover and simmer about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot. 4 servings.
