KETTLE COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. coconut
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix oats, nuts and coconut by shaking them in a small bag; set aside.

In a large saucepan, bring sugar, butter and milk to boil and boil 3 minutes. Quickly add vanilla, then dry ingredients. Stir to mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto sheets of waxed paper and allow cookies to dry several hours before storing.
