SPICY CRANBERRY PUNCH 
4 (3 inches each) pieces stick cinnamon, broken in pieces
8 whole allspice
18 whole cloves
3 qts. cranberry juice cocktail
1 orange, sliced
6 (7 oz. each) bottles lemon-lime carbonated beverage, chilled

Tie spices in cheesecloth bag. In a large saucepan, combine the cranberry juice cocktail, orange slices, and spice bag. Bring to boiling, reduce heat, and simmer about 20 minutes. Set aside to cool; discard spice bag and orange; chill cranberry juice.

Just before serving, pour into chilled punch bowl; add lemon-lime carbonated beverage and stir to blend. If desired, garnish with additional orange slices. About 17 cups.
