MISSOURI 
2 lbs. lean ground chuck, uncooked
2 lg. onions, sliced thin
6 or 8 lg. potatoes, sliced thin
2 sm. cans tomato soup
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. sugar, white
5 lg. carrots, sliced
2 tbsp. butter

Place meat in a large, deep baking dish, spreading to cover the bottom of dish. Alternate layers of sliced onions and potatoes and carrots over meat. Spread tomato soup over top of last layer and sprinkle with sugar. Top with bits of butter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until potatoes are done and carrots are soft. Makes 6 or more servings.
