PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. round steak
1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. onion
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 lg. green peppers
8 oz. can tomatoes
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 3/4 c. water
1 sm. clove garlic
1 tbsp. flavored gravy base

Cut steak into 1/2 inch strips. Coat with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Brown in shortening. Drain tomatoes. Save liquid. Add liquid, water, onion, garlic and gravy base to meat. Cover, simmer 1 1/4 hours or until tender. Uncover, stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce. Cut peppers into strips and add to meat. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add drained tomatoes, cut up, cook 5 minutes more. Serve over rice.
