CATFISH STEW 
1 lb. catfish fillets (or other lean fish)
1/2 lb. bacon, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
1 can tomatoes
2 c. potatoes, pared and cored
1 c. water
1/4 c. catsup
2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. basil

Crisp bacon until brown. Add onion and saute until tender. Add all the other ingredients, except fish, cover and simmer 30 minutes. Meantime, cube fish into 1" pieces. Add fish and continue to simmer, covered, for an additional 15 minutes.

Serves 6.
