MRS. TOMMY'S PINEAPPLE LAYER
CAKE
 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 c. milk
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. vanilla

Grease and flour cake pans. In saucepan, add milk and shortening. Heat until melted. Beat eggs until light; add sugar gradually. Add flour all at once, mixing at low speed. Add vanilla, then milk and butter. Pour into 4 cake pans and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

FILLING:

To pineapple, add: 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. water

Cook until thickened. Put between layers and on top.
