COFFEE PUNCH 
1/2 c. & 1 tbsp. sugar
1 qt. very strong coffee
1 qt. vanilla ice cream
Dash of salt
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped
1 tbsp. sugar
Sprinkle of nutmeg

Dissolve 1/2 cup and 1 tablespoon of sugar in strong coffee. Chill. Pour into punch bowl. Add 1 quart vanilla ice cream, cut up until partially melted. Add dash of salt and almond extract. Fold in whipped whipping cream and add 1 tablespoon of sugar for sweetening. Sprinkle with nutmeg. (N.B.: Much enhanced by addition of a little rum.) Serves 12.
